Features

Charles Fox guitars are crafted of the highest grade woods selected personally by Charles Fox for their tonal, structural and visual quality.

Genuine Mother-of-Pearl, selected for its high flash, is inlaid into the solid ebony head plate.

Carbon graphite rails run the entire length of the fingerboard, adding to the necks rigidity and maintaining a true playing surface from the nut to the soundhole.  A double action truss rod counteracts the pull of the strings and allows fine adjustment of the neck relief.  The necks are firmly bolted to the bodies to allow for safe and easy removal should it ever be required.  A tightly fitted mortise & tenon joint assures an extra strong, secure neck-to-body attachment

The footed endblock, normally found only on fine classical guitars, adds strength to the neck/body area and stabilizes the critical neck angle.  The wide, reversed kerfed linings add stiffness to the sides and create and incredibly strong, rigid body rim.

The necks low profile and smoothly rounded contour accommodates the most demanding playing styles.  A compound fingerboard radius allows the lowest possible string action along the entire length of the neck.  The frets are rounded and mirror polished for speed and perfect comfort. Each genuine bone nut is hand carved and polished.

Genuine bone saddles are individually hand carved and tightly fitted into the solid ebony bridges to guarantee each instruments perfect intonation.

The optional compound cutaway allows effortless access to the upper frets.  The gracefully bent guitar side twists out of the way allowing your hand to glide smoothly past the neck and up into the body, uninterrupted by any extra width of the heel or body beneath the fretboard.  Both of our optional cutaway packages, standard or compound, are available with an extended fretboard with 24 frets, for a full two octave range.
