Introduction

Charles Fox here. Greetings and welcome to my website. For over 40 years I've been been active in the world of lutherie as a builder, designer, educator, manufacturer and consultant. I create a limited number of performance-quality guitars for musicians and collectors around the world, aiming to build every instrument to standards that define state-of-the-art guitar making. I build modern steel string, nylon string and electric guitars as well as traditional and custom instruments - professional performance guitars that are optimized in every way for sound and playability.

Currently, my work is focused on three instrument types - the high-concept ergo acoustic luxury guitar, the contemporary Muse acoustic fingerstyle guitar, and the radical Stag Leap electric solid body art guitar. I invite you to look through the following pages, identify what combination of features best satisfies your taste and musical needs, then contact me with any comments or questions, or to explore the possibility of having an instrument created especially for you.
